Register

This six-hour advanced course provides a comprehensive training for licensed inspectors, contractors, building officials, and design professionals on how to properly evaluate, document, and complete the OIR-B1-1802 (Rev. 04/26) Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form. The course focuses on:

  • Correct interpretation of Florida Statutes 627.711 & 215.5586
  • Application of the Florida Building Code (FBC Residential & Existing Building)
  • Use of ASCE 7-22 (700-year MRI) wind speed maps
  • Proper documentation, photographs, and verification requirements
  • How to evaluate structural systems in compliance with the 1802 form
  • Building Code compliance evaluation for roofing, structural, and opening protection systems

This course fulfills CE requirements for:

  • Building Code Administrators & Inspectors (BCAI): 6 hrs GEN
  • Contractors (CILB): 1 hr WMM + 5 hr GEN
  • Home Inspectors (HI): 2 hr Hurricane Mitigation + 4 hr General

Total Time: 6 Hours
