This six-hour advanced course provides a comprehensive training for licensed inspectors, contractors, building officials, and design professionals on how to properly evaluate, document, and complete the OIR-B1-1802 (Rev. 04/26) Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form. The course focuses on:

Correct interpretation of Florida Statutes 627.711 & 215.5586
Application of the Florida Building Code (FBC Residential & Existing Building)
Use of ASCE 7-22 (700-year MRI) wind speed maps
Proper documentation, photographs, and verification requirements
How to evaluate structural systems in compliance with the 1802 form
Building Code compliance evaluation for roofing, structural, and opening protection systems

This course fulfills CE requirements for:

Building Code Administrators & Inspectors (BCAI): 6 hrs GEN
Contractors (CILB): 1 hr WMM + 5 hr GEN
Home Inspectors (HI): 2 hr Hurricane Mitigation + 4 hr General
