2018 FABI Summer Conference

The Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront has offered all conference participants a discounted room rate of $119 per night for run of house.

Optional sessions have been set up on Friday, June 8, beginning at 8 a.m., which include a six hour Advanced Mechanical Inspections, four hour Four Points and Roof Certification course, and Wind Mitigation Certification and Continuing Education. Friday will also offer a peer review live inspection field class (off site location will be announced) and an introduction to home inspection class (Great for inspectors with less than three years experience, this introduction class will teach inspection techniques and performing inspections to standards. It will also cover some business and marketing tips.). All Friday classes, with exception to the peer review inspection are limited seating.
Saturday and Sunday will feature topics including Interior Drain Pipe Inspections, Infrared, and How to Inspect & Report Moisture Intrusion.
The following Friday sessions – Four Points and Roof Certification and Wind Mitigation – coupled with all sessions on Saturday and Sunday will earn home inspector license holders the full 14-hours needed for license renewal.
Saturday sessions will provide six (6) HI credits and Sunday sessions will provide two (2) credits.
FABI, ASHI and InterNACHI credits are also provided.

SPECIAL 6 HOUR ADVANCED MECHANICAL CLASS
Taught by Jeff Clair, this 6 hour advanced mechanical inspection course will take place Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
This class will provide advanced knowledge of the working components of the HVAC system including proper training and use of tools required to perform advanced HVAC inspections during the home inspection process.
This course is approved for six HI credits (general) and CILB credits have been requested.
